Luigi De Luca is director of the Castromediano Museum in Lecce and coordinator of the biblio-museum poles of the Puglia Region. He directed the Institute of Mediterranean Cultures of the Province of Lecce. Also for the Province of Lecce he held the role of head of the Youth Policies, Integration and Peace Service and set up and managed the support fund for audiovisuals, Salento Film Fund. Among the founders of Apulia Film Commission he also held the position of vice president. He began his career as a theater operator at the Pugliese Public Theater, first participating in the organization of the Salento edition of the International School of Theater Anthropology, then playing the role of director. He landed on a public career in the cultural field after studying at the University of Bologna. He has a degree in semiology and, as such, a specialist in nothing, an “amateur by profession”.
